Epic has reached a settlement with the FTC and hopes to move beyond long-standing industry practices.
There are 2 parts to the settlement. The first sees Epic paying the FTC $245 million USD to resolve concerns related to past designs of the Fortnite item shop and the way in which refunds worked. These funds will be distributed to Epic customers at the discreation of the FTC.
The second, Epic will be $275 million USD to resolve concerns related to children's privacy in Fortnite.
